Surprise. Yep now that the weather is better more options exist for me. Jake's Showcase has has somewhat of a trademark of always being different and always leading with a element of surprise. Because of the majority of bad weather in Canada like in my opinion 9 months of the year I am really restricted from a setting standpoint. But more to the point with 8 weeks in a row of all songs it was almost becoming too predictable even for my liking. Ps expect more music because I love writing and playing but I like mixing it up and I think fans that enjoyed the back and forth zesty nature of Jake's Showcase were missing my trademark element of Surprise!
And how much more surprising could this video be? New scene, new setting, new style. In my opinion a real unpredicted twist in an unpredicted space in an unpredicted way. This video has the possibility of not simply entertaining my current fan base but also drawing eyes and fans from other avenues as well.
As I've mentioned before I'm done with view count predictions but I know that this video is quite different, what that means for viewership I have no idea.
I've worked very hard to this point, more then it may seem with my 304 now posted videos as my channel and it's performance is a large focus of my life currently. It's doing well, pretty much every day. I have my sights now set on crossing 700,000 views across the channel, we'll see how long it takes.
Breaking out of the box so to speak includes breaking out of the box that you or rather I create for myself. The element of surprise and difference that I have on my YouTube channel Jake's Showcase is not only fun and exciting to those watching, but it is also fun and exciting for me. And that makes me feel good.
