Tonight on Jake's Showcase http://youtube.com/JakesShowcase I have just released "Farm Field Vlog - End World Hunger" https://youtu.be/_nhzCF1Slys currently at 3 Views 4 Likes 0 Dislikes. It was single shot with all natural lighting.
Ok, so my prior video "The Farm Dance Of Joy!" https://youtu.be/szhyDGPvrhQ currently at 331 views 26 Likes 2 Dislikes did well it did not take off like I expected it might...heard that before? Sure I could have let it run and likely gotten over 500 views on it for the week but here's the situation.
You see I have an inventory of videos already ready and there's something that just doesn't feel right about creating new videos when I already have videos ready to go. So all of a sudden my creativity is like put on hold for new stuff because I got stuff. My supply is higher then the demand/time principle. In reality much higher as I've said many times before I could easily make a video a day, why because I enjoy it and because I'm like a creative brain stormer.
The key technical reality on YouTube is that as the highly successful YouTubers readily demonstrate there is method to the madness in only producing one video a week or maximum two because you allow for the whole week to go by and the combination of your viewers finding the time to go onto YouTube in their busy weeks and the ability for you to headline a video and have it be views as people who find your other videos and want to see what this guys channel is like it stumble upon you video maximizing your per video view count.
A third factor that has to be considered is that if you are putting videos up all the time your viewers get sick of watching you and they just don't want to tune into your every video making you way to over saturated. This is a more important point then you might think because even me some of the YouTubers I like the most when they are just pumping out the videos I don't tune in because it's just too much. You want a sense of anticipation.
Bottom line here is that as usual I went with my heart or gut feel. I wanted this video out and the combination of channel performance, my inventory, my desire to get back on the creative video making horse was the most important.
The channel is doing good almost every, every day over 600 adsense views and sometimes over 700 and even 800. The trend continues to generally rise and key to keeping my channel alive is to always have something new and fresh. This video may not be my best video but the continued push forward of new material to clear the way for more and better is worth the effort. Remember, like James Dean said "The enjoyment is in the doing, not in the results."
Have a Wonderful Day or Night Fans,
