Tonight on Jake's Showcase http://youtube.com/JakesShowcase I have just released my video "Jake Johnston - "The Pick Up Blues" https://youtu.be/U51NRAt4Wok currently at 0 Views 2 Likes 0 Dislikes. It was single shot with natural and spot light lighting on about the 9th of 11 takes.
Well, I guess it's sort of back the the love theme here. A sort of ho hum bluesy sort of song about the dating life with a nice sort of true vibe that I think will ring a bell for a certain group or certain people that can relate. True it may not exactly paint a glorious picture and I'm always about putting your best foot forward, however, part of putting your best foot forward is putting truth forward. There's something very sexy about truth, honesty and from the heart feel, which this song delivers.
I like it. Overall I like fast songs, just in general but here a slower paced song again really fits the tone well.
You know, I know it seems far out there but while I only have one instrument and know how to play only one instrument, a dream of mine would be to get my hands on a synthesizer. A keyboard and a synthesizer.
You see I feel like I do have the music in me but am limited with my one instrument and my limited skills and talents on that one instrument. You know like cool rave songs? You know like real high end decent rap songs. You see I'm great with words. I could write song after song after song. But for it to be really appealing especially to the younger party crowd you have to package it in a certain way that they just want to get up and dance to it at their bars.
When I would drink I would be up on the stages and up on the speakers going nuts dancing, I lead the crowds, I was a great dancer, the music just flowed in me and even now when I hear the music my body just starts moving. I can make that music. I'm talking cutting edge stuff but I don't have a synthesizer to practice and experiential. Hey I've done enough complaining and griping, it is what it is for the moment, I work with what I have but a great vision for the future.
The channel does alright, not bad we're still climbing. Remember steadiness and reliability often wins the day in life and in YouTube and thus far it's be a hall mark of my channel. If the best thing I do on YouTube is be steady, I've done that job well.
Ah my heart flutters and flutters, and flutters some more, Ah, I''m in the mood for love.
Have A Wonderful Day or Night Fans,
