Who You Think Of At Night

Tonight on Jake's Showcase http://youtube.com/JakeShowcase my video "Jake Johnston  - "The Pick Up Blues" https://youtu.be/U51NRAt4Wok is at 70 Views 15 Likes 0 Dislikes. While the view count for the second week in a row falls short of the minimum of 100 views on the first day that I consider a success, it is nice to see of the first 45 views I have 15 likes. Therefore it was well received by my core fans.
Usually the first day is where you'll see what your subscribers think with likes and dislikes of your videos. As the week rolls on the percentage of people who are engaged enough to like or dislike or comment on a video falls as the fact that they are finding the video by chance because it is your channels headliner.
I know that essentially that the reasons for the smaller first day viewership is that many see a music video and it is only interesting to a small percentage of my viewers. Many people are only looking for one type of video out of me or another and when they don't see it's a video style they like they tune out therefore I don't have a rock solid week after week viewership rate per video. I understand all this.
So, who we think about at night. You know...like last minute. Like before we go to sleep. Who captures our love. A lot of times it's people that maybe we shouldn't think about. People who somehow we think that thinking of them is maybe wrong somehow, or maybe something fresh. Maybe its someone we're trying to forget. Someone we're trying to move on from. Maybe it's someone we're interested in and that interest continues to grow. Maybe one day, or night rather, it just starts dawning on us, how did we miss it? All this time? And their face creeps into your thoughts, again and again and again. Sometimes it warms  you....just seeing the face....that buzzy fuzzy warm feeling. When you think of them your side parts of your mouth start smiling and your  eyes curl in. Sometimes it gets to the point where we start laughing to ourselves or feel like their right there with us, and it makes us feel warm and good being with them. Like their with us even though they may be so far away in spirit or body.
Do we have control over this? Do we really want control over this. Who are we thinking of....who do we really love. It may get to the point where your like "just forget about it" and maybe for a day or two, maybe a week, we can...but then in they appear in a dream and they're back again. We love them.
They make your heart jump. They make you want to live. They make you want to be your best and you want to be your best for them. Your totally in love and you just look for signs of them, any sort really makes your day. And me, I think of you. Maybe I shouldn't, but why not. What's wrong with it. Can't really help it anyway. So, you make my eyes twinkle. Wink, yep, you.
