This morning on Jake's Showcase http://youtube.com/JakesShowcase my video "Cowboy Life" http://youtu.be/b1GDQmEW4dw is at 194 Views 19 Likes 0 Dislikes. A huge slowdown for the third day for this video only increasing 34 views the past day however the channel overall remains moving at a respectable clip.
One factor has been the weather. You see with the cold now here I've been limited on my on the ground advertising as I'm driving most places now. I have little interest in "braving the cold" and now that I have a car transportation option I don't.
The sacrifice though is that a key part of my videos reaching 301 or higher each week is that by me walking around in my usual unique look I attract some percentage of views of people who recognize me and check out my latest video as a result. I don't know what the percentage is but I would estimate about 20% of my views coming from people seeing me around the town.
Now that I'm driving I'm much less visible. Really, I'll take it. I have enough confidence and faith now in my Youtube's channel viability on my own that by me going around in a car to stay more sheltered is no question the right call.
Lot's of life stuff happening here outside of YouTube too. In the past I would panic with a threat to my income but I'm not panicking because I know one way or another the right thing will occur.
I have to take care of myself first that's just the bottom line. The body remains the most important.
The body knows what's right and what's wrong and I do and will listen continue to it first.
