"Jake Johnston - "Can't Even Look At You Straight" Released

Tonight on Jake's Showcase http://youtube.com/JakesShowcase I have just released "Jake Johnston  - "Can't Even Look At You Straight" https://youtu.be/r-qu2XTGRqA currently at 35 Views 7 Likes 1 Dislikes. It was 6 shots with spotlight lighting. Unlike the other videos here I actually took the 6th and final take, it simply was the best. With a new tuner the guitar was finally in tune and I found that the practice with the song made it more familiar to me and it just somehow flowed out of me best here.
Where I look at which take to do I really look for the "chill" effect or the effect that elicits the most emotion out of me, figuring if it impacts me it's probably got a similar effect on others. I also look at the pacing, the actual sound, the look of the frame and I actually grade each of my takes listening to each several times honing down the best two or three until I'm satisfied that this is the best. I liked the fact here that because of my practice I was able to look at the camera several times instead of down at my paper and I think it was good overall.
If you noticed I haven't been writing as much. I link it to weather. When it's cold and I'm couped up I write, or when I feel particularly emotionally compelled, but recently I've been out and about.
I continue to move steady at my job with currently no plans of changing jobs until I achieve 1 million views across the channel at which point I will quit instantly. The projected time is June 3 next year as of today.
I keep waiting to blow up. Like huge. I know it's going to happen but it has taken so, so long and it has been so, so hard. My life has been very hard overall but this YouTube venture has not made things easier because I have become a semi star but not that big but too big to be unnoticed. It's a weird middle spot I've been in for the majority of the 3 plus years of this channel.
I like this song, I really like this song. In many ways it may be my best because of the tuner and the practice...oh yeah and the words.
You know I heard today "love is the most irrational thing in the world'....I guess I concur. I guess those of you who read me and follow me also concur. I also thought today, what is love at first sight, does it exist, I think it does, but then if that doesn't work, does love happen again, in another way, and I also think it does.
Love, growing love, love at first sight. Love is love and their is no pattern, and yes it is "the most irrational thing in the world."
