You might be like Jake, why such a bland ho hum video. Well truthfully much has been brewing in the real world for me and I thought just a simple straightforward video would be a good timed fit. Second these little simple how to videos while they do not have much off the top appeal do seem to overall outperform as the video count keeps rising and rising month after month. Straightforward solid information ends up with good search ranking and then is found again and again by those interested.
So I've had two interviews in the past two days. The second today was better then the first but both went well. Both with higher pay and will greatly reduce my fear of driving on that single lane highway. While I never allow thing to interfere on YouTube my pure drive for "nothing except YouTube" faded since my birthday as I saw the effect of the less attention to YouTube somehow pay off.
Overall the channel has been solidly preforming day after day with me doing nothing. True I have videos in inventory and that further makes me feel like I have the ability to release them at any time and takes the pressure off if I just want to kick back.
Right now the focus is in securing my financial situation by getting a sufficient job that I can do and that does not endanger my life now or in the shortly coming Canadian winter. Again I really like my job and now in the Summer it is easy to just kick back and take it easy at a job I do well at, like and now the drive to St. Thomas is not that bad. But I'm too smart and experienced for that. The easy times are but fleeting here in Canada as bad news is right around the corner in weather.
Not to mention I asked for a raise, they said no, so I really have to move on just to keep the rent paid and the stomach full, both of which are not done in full at this very moment in the middle of the month....I have been paying half rent for the past 2 months every two weeks because I don't have enough money. So really the choice is really no choice.
Roll with the punches. I don't need to prove myself because I've already proven myself and it's the world who is to enjoy the gift that keeps giving for as long as I keep going to meet my 1 million channel wide goal.
