How I Write Songs

I made a mistake with this song, two in fact. First the chord progression should have been a four chord progression with different chords and second, this was only my second try at this song and I got a huge blister on my thumb from strumming so hard and stopped at two tries and took the second try. However my thumb has now healed and I should have took a couple more shots at it before uploading it this past Sunday.
The lyrics and tune is good but this is a classic underperformed song and could be executed so much better.
With song writing it's always the same for me. First the inspiration, what is the song about. Second is the general pace and melody that the speed of what I envision would be. This second phase is basically, fast vs slow and high vs low rather then the tune itself. Third is the fun part the words. Finding just the right combination of words the best describe the message. Next is much harder, nailing down the chords for the course and verses. Often I find it so hard to play the song on the guitar with the idea of how the song flows in my head. Finally is the video execution. How well do I pull it off this is both how well I think I pulled it off and then reviewing it, can I do better, is it worth another take and another try or it just inefficient to keep pushing.
This song I wanted an upbeat party like song but I failed with the proper chords and execution to my best capacity. Of note too is that there has been 0 comments on this video for the first day. I do not remember any video getting 0 comments ever. Telling. This means that not one person of 113 felt compelled enough with the song to say anything about it. Again, an artistic failure. 
Nonetheless, I like the rebellious tone, the effort and message of this song and I also like the upbeat attempt of the song as many of my songs are of a much slower nature. So, I guess with all that said I'm still satisfied here and yep....got my 100 first day views here again so another win.
