In this video I decided to put to video what I have written about several times about my view and vantage point on how to deal with any video that becomes demonetized. Simply I remove it.
Most recently triggered by me taking down Coco Parody - I'm in Love with the YouTube because of a copyright claim I am no stranger to having to take down videos. This Coco Parody was very popular proportionally to recent uploads having 2159 views where as other videos were getting about a 10th of the viewership...nonetheless as a rule take it down and keep your YouTube good standing is paramount.
Looking back the largest view count hit was my video on alcohol withdrawal where when I took it down I lost over 11,000 views which at the time seemed like the end of the world.
When I accumulate the videos that have been taken down because of demonetization the total lifetime views on my channel are 585,198 and the total actual views are 562,409 or a difference of 22,789. Think about that, over 22,000 views have been taken down.
Would I like those views? Of course, like a kid likes candy. But again and again by retaining my good standing with YouTube I am able to take another swing of the bat, live to see another day so to speak and always get back and surpass what I lost. For aspiring YouTube artist I say the right way is the only way.
