This morning on Jake's Showcase http://youtube.com/JakesShowcase my video "Facebook Psychiatry 101" http://youtu.be/SBLx8O98FB0 is at 176 views 14 Likes 0 Dislikes. Well 2 days in at 176 shouldn't have a problem passing 301 for the week but the wham bam take off I hope for hasn't occurred yet for this video.
It seems to be a pattern, I like have a defined niche audience that watches my videos and overall like them but I haven't had that video that grabs the attention or imagination of the general public enough to create that viral effect. Remember a viral video in the smallest definition is 10,000 plus views.
Many would say viral is like over a million and they may be right but were looking for the positives here and I think when I read the 10,000 number within a couple weeks it sounded more accurate and reasonable. But really a million plus for a video I don't think is out of the question either.
But to do that what do you need? Well you need something that a lot of people can relate to and get either a laugh or entertainment from. Truly there's no real formula to that, just keep pitching.
Well what's going on personally? I'm alright, not bad actually. I've had to hunker down as the weather has cooled making my classic out door walks less predominate. Having a car now I'm able to skip the rain, snow, wind and other tortuous elements of bad weather and I really feel it's paying off with very positive side effects. The dating opportunities of weeks ago have lessened as ladies are also slowly but surly fading into the indoors. But it's not quite dead yet and I do find that the positive opportunities do emerge even with short indoor encounters, they like me I know it. No dates planed this week thus far at least none confirmed, but the week is young.
Overall it's all working out. I feel more and more confident as the time goes by.
There's a risk on YouTube, once your out there you can get into a real hole feeling if it's not as successful or positively reacted to as you want or thought, but once you pass through that you come out feeling pretty darn good about yourself. That feeling good about myself is where I am at right now.
Have A Wonderful Day or Night Fans,
