Tonight on Jake's Showcase https://youtube.com/JakesShowcase I have just released "Jake Johnston  - "Miss Success" https://youtu.be/oBotre0jn20 currently at 53 Views 8 Likes 2 Dislikes. It was the 9th of 11 takes with spotlight lamp and overhead lighting.
Oh, I'm a weird one ain't I? I don't know if you have or haven't noticed but I frequently try to place a workout video following a music video but this time I did it opposite. A or the reason? You see I know that in general the workout videos do the best and draw the largest audience and the music videos do the worst or use to and that sort of mix and match tries to balance them out.
I had been doing a music video every 5 weeks however hear I jump the gun and go for another song with only a two week gap.
Thankfully I took more practice swings with this song and while it was a touch slower then other variations it was the least mistake filled and I think an overall good one possibly the best?
Am I a musician? Well I guess with now 49 music videos I can say yes. Of course I'm so much more but the music is coming along nicely and one of these songs is going to blow up.
Hey sure maybe my three chord special here doesn't really show much progression with the chords but I don't think that will improve much as I don't really aspire to learn the far advanced skill set of a amazing guitarist. I do however aspire to nail the rhythm, the chord playing laying down I do do, the words, beat, and overall execution of the song. I don't want to advance much in skill, but I do want to really nail the songs I make and with 11 attempts here I show more energy I was willing to put into it...ps I did the takes over three days and choose the fourth and fifth days.
You see I know that if I take off, I'll get a band and that band will have those skills. I also may get equipment, synthesizers, voice tuners, mics and the sorts. But I need to put out a glorious performance first to get seriously picked up. We're talking a viral hit....a music viral hit.
This song here is pretty close....it may be the one. Catchy, upbeat and relatable to the masses.
Eminem said in an interview on Jonathan Ross's show in the United Kingdom "if your heart is in it and you preserve it will eventually click and work out for you." (This quote may be a couple words off but that was the jist.)
As you know heart has never been my problem. Money and success has been.
There is nothing more fulfilling then perfection.
