As I say in this video this is my longest and final video on alcohol and drugs on YouTube. As being such I wanted it to do a appropriately thorough, decisive and hallmark job for the subject area. 5 years is enough. It is enough to move beyond and have it as part of my life in the past, where it belongs.
I bring people through the entire spectrum of me during my drinking, what happened since I've quit and strategies and recommendations I've found effective. I don't hold back and feel I've done my part.
This video being one hour and 27 minutes makes it the same as a typical film. In one sitting I present to the audience the equivalent of a movie on drinking, drugs and overcoming it.
When I watch it for my own self which I've done in the raw file form while I do have to pause it due to it's length to get food or go to the bathroom I can't help but be captivated by the story.
In one way you could say, well so few people actually have a problem with drugs and alcohol like 10% of the population and much fewer want to do something about it, so maybe it's not that widely popular. But even if those who watch are not part of the small percentage with a problem trying to improve it they may know someone or have been affected by someone in their lives and to them this video may be of interest as well.
Am I proud? Am I ashamed? Why tell the world my story?
Why? Because it's the right thing to do. This is where I'm suppose to be and this is what I'm suppose to do right now. For me, there could be no other way.
