You may call me a chicken here. Well it was my first post 500,000 views on my channel and I thought I'd mix it up yet again. Really I have just got the guitar within the past 10 days and am really excited. My former guitar was destroyed 2 years ago because it warped due to the humidity in my apartment and I was really dying to play and was recently given one.
The reason I say you may call me a chicken here this is the first video I did not watch prior to uploading. I didn't want to see myself sing. I guess kinda nervous I'd chicken out and not put the video up or something. But really singing and music is just a little more soulful then just about anything else. You put your soul into music and that's why maybe I'm a bit more sensitive.
As you know I'm a writer and one of the main reasons I was so happy to get the guitar is because I want to write music. I've got so much life experience, feeling, emotion and poetry in me that I just have wanted to get it out in a musical way. Without my guitar I've been at a loss of a key piece of my toolbox.
So then I had a guitar, lots of ideas for songs and really I didn't know where to start.
I decided to start from the beginning and I pulled out my photo and paper album and took out this song I wrote when I was 13 years old. I've written about 10 songs from my youth and I think I have many, many more to be written.
Some people like to play music, me, I like to make music, create music.
Sure, I'm a bit rusty here, the first song I've played in over 2 years and the calluses on my fingers have not formed yet, but they come and my cords will come, my strumming will come and the words will come as well.
