A Test In Presentation Skill

This morning on Jake's Showcase http://youtube.com/JakesShowcase my video "How to get More Views On YouTube - 500,000 Views The Real Way" http://youtu.be/FA17ko8bf30 is at 242 Views 20 Likes 1 Dislike.
This video with only a day and a half to go will likely have a hard time surpassing 301 views this week and I'm mostly surprised because I thought that those looking up ways to get more views on their channel would take to it more. My video has slipped from the first to the third page in ranking meaning that the engagement or the watch through time has not measured up like I had expected.
Again one of the dangers of having a multi dimensional channel is that you take the risk of having people briefly look at your video and if it's not on the topic or style that they are interested in seeing they turn away. By turning away especially initially during the first week it shows YouTube that people are not watching much of the video as a whole, therefore they drop it in the search rankings like what has happened here.
Overall my channel truly puts me to the test because when you look at this type of video and that type of video overall it's a test to see how well I'm able to hold an audiences attention regardless of the topic or video style. It's a true test in presentation skill.
I think as the initial weeks low watch time penetration rate wears off  and as people who are looking to learn about how to get more views on youtube increase this video will again re rise and be enjoyed by those interested in this specific topic. I'll put it this way, if I was starting fresh and saw this video of how a fella got 500,000 views it would help speed me up along the learning curve and give me solid ideas that have been proven to work. That type of thinking proves that this video was worth it.
Have A Wonderful Day or Night Fans,
